My Favorite Finds

Wow...where has the time gone? So sorry for the lapse in postings. Between work, looking for a new job, bible study, my NEW exercise routine, there is not always a lot of time left for the fun stuff...like my blog!

I blog in my mind all day long whenever I see something cool, discover a new recipe or discover a new favorite! I am just dying to share these with you.

All Natural Healthy Choice Frozen Dinners, $2 (bargain!!!!)
I accidentally ran into these in the frozen food section. They are my new favorite lunch and only 270-330 calories. ALL NATURAL, NO PRESERVATIVES...AMAZING COMBINATIONS. Here are my favorites so far: Portobella Mushrooms with Spinach, Parmesan and Penne, Mediterranean Pasta (Orzo rice, cranberries, northern beans and apples!), and Pumpkin Squash Ravioli!

Aveeno Continuous Radiance Moisturizing Lotion, $12.99

Feels and smells great...doesn't have that funny tanning lotion smell and leaves a very natural color. I love the way my skin feels after I use it...I'm sold!

Another Aveeno product that I am enjoying...
Positively Ageless Daily Exfoliating Cleanser, $11

Organix Coconut Milk Shampoo, $7
I can't tell you how soft my hair felt after only one use!!! I love it even more because it doesn't have any sulfates in it. Nothing like washing your hair with a pina colada!

Crazy About Color

I love an unexpected punch of color in a room...something that says who you are and keeps life from becoming too predictable! Don't be afraid to use color...start with a few bolts of your favorite color or a color that contrasts well with the rest of the room. One of my favorite rooms in our house is the study with chocolate brown walls and just a few pops of hot pink (pillow and orchid). This room just makes me happy! I adore the way the brown and pink compliment one another so that each looks better than it did if it were all by itself. That's the beauty (and fun) of color!

Black & white & gray could turn drab, but the yellow couch brings vibe to this hip room!

Just adore these bubblegum pink walls...showing us that balance is everything with color.

Yellow and white ceilings...this is called sunny side up!

This is HOT!

So very pale pink walls make this room so soft and comfortable!

Powder blue and stainless steel keep this kitchen cool...

Citrus stripes MAKE this room a fun place to hang....

One of my favorites! Red, yellow, a pop of green on an all-white canvas is so fresh...

Here, color takes you around the world and back...

So pretty in pink!

Target.com, $299...can you believe it? I am trying hard to find a place for this fabulous chair!

The power of purple!

Fun with fuscia!

Orange and black make magic...

The Outdoors

I don't know about you, but I am really enjoying the slightly longer days and the warmer weather. Here in Austin we have already had temps in the 80's. The rest of this week is supposed to be very warm with 85 predicted for this Thursday (just in time for my friend, Jeanne who will be visiting from chilly Chicago).

I just love spring and summer...always have! I hope you enjoy this collection of outdoor spaces that are acting as a reminder to the long days ahead outside on our back porch....reading, resting, entertaining and grilling! Can't you just smell the fresh cut grass and taste the iced tea? It won't be long...well, at least here in Texas. You New Englanders have a while to go. But, eventually, the green does come back and the mercury does finally rise no matter where you are!
